Terms and Conditions
All of these are very important. When you apply to have me or use me as your beta reader you agree to all of these. Failure to do so can resault in an automatic IP ban as well as a nice blog about you and your ignorance.
The rules really aren't that hard to follow and I'd like to believe I'm not asking for much. I can make exceptions for some rules but you do need to contact me ahead of time before applying.

You Need to Learn Them
  • You agree that you will post a link to both of my accounts (FictionPress and FanFiction.net)and this site on your homepage for as long as I do your beta reading. [edits active as of March 7th, 2009]

  • You agree that you will keep in contact with me at all times. I require a message at least once a month. During these messages I usually inform you of updates, etc.

  • You agree that you will not add up a new chapter (this only applies to the stories I am beta reading) until after I have beta read and we have disgusted the chapter and its problems. [edits active as of July 12th, 2008]

  • You agree that if your book is later published you will not take credit of writing edits for yourself. You will give proper credit to me without fail.

  • You agree that any private information about me that I share with you will not be shared elsewhere. I do not usually give out any private information, but I have been known to get close to some clients to which I have spoken of private matters, etc. [active as of March 11th, 2007]

  • You agree that you will not bad mouth me or any of my clients for any reason at all at any time. This is not only immature, but it’s childish and highly annoying. It’s simply unneeded and not tolerated. [active as of August 21st, 2008]

  • You agree that you will use my services for as long as your contract states unless I have broken the contract.

  • You agree that you will give me 48 hours noticed and an hour to discuss and go over your leaving my services. This includes giving me an honest reason as to while you’re leaving, as well as an understanding of the fact that once you leave my services you can not return to my services until after 1 month (30 days) has passed.

  • You agree that you understand that I may or may not agree to beta read all of your stories for various reasons. Feel free to ask what these reasons are if you feel that’s important. [active as of June 28th, 2007]

  • You agree that you will not use any other beta readers for the stories I am beta reading while you’re under my services. You agree to discuss any beta readers you plan to get and what stories they’ll be doing before you get the beta reader. This was I know what stories I don’t need to think about working on.

  • You agree that you will post a comment in my blog/updates once in a while. This means that once a month or so you will post a comment in my blog/updates. [active as of April 25th, 2009]

  • You agree that you will follow me on Twitter and/or MySpace; links to both are listed on the website. [active as of April 25th, 2009]

  • You agree and understand that these terms and conditions may change at any time. You will of course be e-mailed at that time with the new information. You also agree to follow the new rules along with the old ones unless they have been edited or removed.
